Batman, Vol. 1

Having just put the Joker (and most of Gotham's costumed criminals) away, Batman takes Gordon up on a suggestion that he take a vacation. At Alfred's insistence, he works to reacquaint himself with his identity as Bruce Wayne at a charity event in London. While there, he runs into Kirk Langstrom, who developed the Man-Bat serum. Langstrom is being blackmailed for his Man-Bat serum, and his wife is a hostage.
