Darkseid wants the power to conquer the Wall, and he has a plan to get that power. If he can resurrect the Dark Phoenix through her residual psychic emanations, he can bend her to his will. He recruits Deathstroke to help him on Earth, but must defeat both the Teen Titans and the X-Men if he plans to win the day. With his power, both teams combined lack the strength needed to defeat him in combat.
