The closing shot of the Civil War, a sniper's bullet is meant for him and his wife instead strikes his Aunt, May Parker. On the run from the law as an unregistered super-hero, and with very few resources, Peter risks his freedom to carry her to the hospital. Then, charging Mary Jane with watching over May, Peter goes about finding who pulled the trigger, and who asked for the hit to avenge her.
