Aquaman discovers a beam of energy that tears through the sea bed and shoots into the air, splitting into three separate beams and calls a meeting of the Justice League aboard the satellite. Unknown to the heroes, the three beams each strike an individual, turning them into an embodiment of one of the elements: earth, water and air.

The League battle the menaces but are defeated; as they recuperate aboard the satellite, Aquaman notices that the coordinates of the three elementals triangulate with Atlantis in the centre.

Travelling beneath the sea, they discover an ancient Atlantean sorceror - Daanuth - who is attempting to ressurect the Atlantis of his age. He is defeated, however, and the three elementals are returned to their normal forms.
