With the revelation that Hercules' uncle, Pluto, is minding affairs in the mortal world instead of watching the gates of Hades, Athena sees how Hera's control of the Olympus Group can be undermined. Hurrying Hercules and Amadeus through ritual purification she guides them to the entrance to the Underworld... a casino on the Jersey shore. Inside, mortals spend their money (unknowingly alongside the recently dead, who gamble for a chance to return to the mortal world) never knowing that their foot is half-way into the land of the dead. But Pluto has Zeus trapped in Tartarus, on the other side of the River Styx... and Charon the Ferryman is still sore at Hercules' for his last visit. He charges that Hercules must pay a chip from the casino for each man he's sent to Charon... a paltry $10,000.
