Jamie Madrox' X-Factor Investigations already has a good deal of trouble. One of their clients has been accused of murdering her sister, Strong Guy and Wolfsbane are in the middle of a full-fledged riot, and an assassin dispatched by rival group, Singularity Investigations, is now dead on the kitchen floor. Amidst all these events is Layla Miller, a young girl with an uncanny knowledge of things that haven't yet happened. She has to prevent them from learning the truth about M-Day, for fear of what the outcome of that knowledge would mean for the future.
