Spider-Man is drawn into the shadowy world of corporate extortionists Executive Services, Inc. and their chief enforcer, the murderous Headhunter, when Headhunter crushes his camera at a news gathering event. It seems ESI helps executives turn around their companies - except that its real goal is to take control of those companies, which it does by the tricky terms of their contracts.
