X-Men
They are mutants, genetically gifted human beings - the world's newest and most persecuted minority group. As Magneto plummets helplessly to Earth, Fabian Cortez assumes control of Asteroid M and sends hundreds of missiles towards Earth.
In the year 3999, Apocalypse steals Cable's computer and time-travels to the past in order to end his struggle against inferior mutants permanently.
The next phase of Apocalypse's plan begins: he targets and abducts the most powerful psychics in the universe.
Cable appears in the past to stop Apocalypse, but is not concerned about saving the psychics much to the mutants' chagrin.
The final battle between mutants and Apocalypse takes place.

Quicksilver of the mutant team X-Factor and his sister, the Scarlet Witch of the Avengers, learn from their dying father, that they were adopted. Magneto, who is looking for his estranged wife, may hold a clue to the Maxinoff twins' past.
