Caprica

Caprica tells the story of a futuristic human society that is at its technological peak; the inhabitants of this society are successful, oblivious and self-absorbed. When the society is attacked by terrorists and loved ones die, several members of the society want to use technological advances to resurrect the dead. When Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz), a computer whiz, and his wife Amanda (Paula Malcolmson) lose their daughter Zoe (Alessandra Toressani) in the attack, they resurrect her in robotic form using her remains. This use of technology creates an ideological chasm in the society, especially as more and more humans start to create their own “Cylons” – cyborg versions of humans. Joseph Adama (Esai Morales) is a man who also loses loved ones in the attack, but who does not believe in using this new technology to resurrect the dead.
