Plot

Tawny-eyed Linnet is 18 years old, the pampered daughter of Earl Godfrey. She has long dreamt of a dark-eyed, golden-haired stranger who takes her in his arms and sweeps her off her feet. When Prince Rhys of Cymer appears in her father's great hall, she is astonished to see her dreams come to life. But this man of Linnet's dreams is the legendary outlaw known as the Eagle, and her father's sworn enemy. He has not come for romance, but for revenge. Hoping to regain lands wrested from him by Linnet's father, the Eagle has scaled the castle wall to kidnap Linnet and it proves no great difficulty to abduct a lady so bedazzled.
