Fifteen-year-old Summer Matthews is having a wonderful summer. She's going out with David Marshall, who's really good-looking--and nice too. But at a party, Summer gets trapped in a lie when her friend Regina announces that Summer is a terrific runner--that she runs ten miles a day! Insecure and afraid to admit to David that she's never run in her life, Summer lets the lie continue and worse, she finds herself signed up for a local race.
