Archibald Knox, born on the Isle of Man, was one of the most influential designers in modern British history. His blending of Celtic and modernist design defined British Art Nouveau and helped Liberty's of London, the famous British design emporium of the late 19th and early 20th century, become the premier design establishment in Britain. This comprehensive source book, lavishly illustrated throughout, explores the richness and diversity of Knox's design work in gold, silver, pewter, textiles, wallpaper and stonework, most of which were created for Liberty's.
