It has been said about the GI Generation that it was the last of an honorable breed; a generation of men and women whose characters were honed on the deep ideals and traditional morals of proud nations during trying times. Values such as sacrifice, honor, courage, and humility were the bywords of the America that entered WWII. Against the backdrop of the war, the burgeoning of international industrial nations, and the changing social milieu of the late 20th century, we follow the lives of three main characters as they travel the road from struggle, through epiphany, to redemption. The story of each of my character's lives, from young adulthood to maturity, is a personal tapestry that in this novel becomes an allegory of the universal human journey. 'Amende A Journey To Redemption', approximately 100,000 words, is written as a mainstream/literary novel spanning more than 50 years. While the epilogue concludes in the late 90's, the novel might be more aptly considered somewhat historical, since several pivotal events take place in the middle part of the century and several decades before the actual story's end. Additionally, there is a deep spiritual/religious foundation to the story, as each character's personal journey includes a search for faith and reconciliation.
