In his usual precise and detailed manner, Arthur W. Pink deals with the doctrine of revelation--"the revelation which God has made of Himself in the created universe, in the moral nature of man, in HIs shaping of human history, in HIs incarnate Son, in the sacred Scriptures, in the saving revelation which He makes of Himself in the souls of HIs elect at their regeneration and conversion, and in and through Christ to HIs saints in heaven." Writing as he did immediately after World War II, he confronts head-on those who deny God and His revelation of Himself. Pink's well-reasoned arguments are not only convincing to the person who finds himself beset by doubts, they are also heartening to the reader who has experienced God's hand in his own life to go on to recognize God's great power in the world. Dr. Pink looks at the problems inherent in the fact of sin--suffering, sorrow, inhumane treatment of man by man--and proves from God's revelation that all of this is overruled by God for the good of His chosen. This book, then, is one of instruction, comfort, and encouragement. It points the pilgrim to the great hope that awaits him when God will reveal Himself in a way so complete it is beyond man's most vivid imaginings. -Publisher
