Abstract: The process in management which successfully improves subordinates' performance, by applying a face-to-face technique is called coaching. Objectives such as: changing managers' beliefs relating to workers, bosses and management; and presenting sp ecific techniques to solve people-performance problems are outlined. Why managers fail; facts about managing; self-development a destructive management concept; motivation theories; alternatives to psychotherapy; behavior modification; communication problems; coaching for improved performance; coaching analysis; face-to-face discussion to problem solving; eliminating unsatisfactory subordinate performance; and case studies, questions and problems are topics presented.
