Plot

The author explains that the problem many of us face today is that we have not found a God who "fits" our modern needs. Many people are living without faith, mainly because they have never found a God "big" enough to account for the mysteries of life and death. As a result, those who want to believe may find that they are hindered by static, childish views of God -- a God who cannot satisfy their adult expectations. He explores several of these destructive concepts of God which are narrow and inadequate, and points out constructive images of God that fit in with our modern needs.
