Plot

The Scripture teaches that it is the Word of God and true in all its parts. It follows that no verse in the Bible can really contradict another, and no verse should be used by itself to prove any doctrine. Instead, all verses on a subject should be considered when a truth is to be stated. James Gunn, after decades of private study of the Word of God, is well qualified to put together all verses which deal with the subject of Christ. And Christ is the subject of all Scripture, the unifying factor which makes sixty-six books by perhaps forty writers into one Book, properly called the Holy Bible. The Person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ have consistently been the focal point of satanic attack since the creation. How welcome then, is this comprehensive, thoughtful presentation of the most important doctrines about Christ. Gunn concentrates on what the Scriptures themselves – actually 934 references – reveal about such various facets of the Lord’s life and work as: The Eternal Christ, The Virgin Birth, The God-Man, The Fullness of the Godhead, Christ the Eternal Son, The Atonement, Christ’s Triumphant Resurrection, Master, Lord and Head, The Present Ministry of Christ, The Morning Star, The Supreme Sovereign, The Theocratic Dominion, and God All in All. James Gunn is a native of Scotland, but was raised and educated in Toronto.
