Plot

People in the Outcasts social designation are disadvantaged in regards to their access to social services and the economic opportunities. Their blood is considered tainted by members of other classes. Oftentimes, they are marginalized and their rights are ignored. The government of Nigeria says that it is taking measures to improve the social and economic situation of Outcast people in the country. The author of this book, himself a Catholic Christian and the Chief of the Ozo tribe, gives personal stories exemplifying the discrimination against Outcasts and the need for enforced change in Nigerian society.
