Professor Alexander not only helped found Princeton Theological Seminary, but served as its first principal. Alexander, along with B. B. Warfield and Charles and A. A. Hodge, became known as one of the 'Princeton theologians,' arguably the most influential group of religious scholars in the history of American Christianity.
