This book began as a blog to record the thoughts and opinions of an average American woman during these unsettling times; to ring the bell of our national conscience. The book reads as a chronicle and time capsule of this current time period, and is a virtual recording of history-in-the-making. The commentaries are presented chronologically, and cover important matters as they came into view. The reader will be able to discern our national discourse on such topics as the Economy, the declining morality in our society, the wars in the Middle East, our eroding freedoms, and the emerging persecution of our Faith. It is the hope of the author that this book might reveal to future generations what we were thinking, and show them the people, events and ideas that influenced this time.

About the author:
Belle Ringer is an average American woman; Conservative in her political leanings and Christian in her faith. At the end of 2011, she felt a strong prompting to “ring the bell”; to speak out to her fellow citizens over the dramatic changes she saw coming upon our country and the world – changes that affected peoples of different political parties, faiths, genders and nationalities. Although her faith is of primary importance to her, she wanted to encourage a dialogue based on mutual respect and focusing on the issues that are important to all of us. She welcomed everyone to her blog, Salvation and Survival, in the hopes that we could come to understand and show consideration for our differences, as well as engage in meaningful discussions. It soon became apparent that we are living in remarkable and unsettling times. Readership expanded to include people from countries around the world, and her blog posts began to reflect history-in-the-making, from her own personal viewpoint. Her opinions and posts were routinely shared by SteveQuayle.com, PrepperWebsite.com, SurvivalBlog.com, and many others. Her first published book, Salvation and Survival: Defending my Faith, Freedom & Family, reflects the unfolding of people, issues, and events that have influenced these momentous years.

This book is amazing! Each topic is a reminder of what really is important, especially at this time in life. It is so refreshing to know that Belle Ringer has done the research and is able to write what is truth. It is my wish and prayer that our younger generation have the opportunity to read this book so they may know what is happening in this country. I appreciate the work that she has done to bring these stories and ideas to our culture and society.
