An Email from Dr. David Anderson
to the Community of Grace School of Theology:

The pandemic of hatred sweeping over the United States is moving faster than COVID-19. The only way to overcome the hatred of racism is with the love of gracism.

At Grace School of Theology we want to be known as gracists, billboards of God’s grace and channels of His love, a love that cannot be earned and cannot be lost. The only thing more powerful than hate is love.

Out of the distinctions of racism comes an air of superiority, the thinking that WE are better than THEY—whoever is not part of our group, nation, or race. An US versus THEM mentality develops.

It should be US-US. There is no US-THEM in Scripture. “God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son . . .“ That is US-US talk. God loves everyone the same—no distinctions. God loves the unbeliever just as much as the believer. That’s why He sent us out as billboards of grace.

All of us associated with Grace School of Theology have a unique opportunity to model this message because we are taking advantage of the barriers God has broken down between nations, races, and social strata.

Racism within Christianity is an oxymoron. In Christ there is no racism, no sexism, no elitism. Jesus says we are to be lights in this dark world. Where a world is full of hatred and violence we are to radiate love and peace..
