Plot

King Solomon: The mighty king of Israel, the most glamorous of all the kings of the Middle East. Ashur: The foundling who became a great chariot warrior, bearer of the mysterious signet ring. Ammi: The young Jewish maiden, paragon of beauty and modesty. Ammi's father dies, leaving her with two brothers and the widowed mother. Ammi and Ashur meet and fall in love. Her brothers and the mother do not look with approval on this relationship. Anxious to protect the reputation of their sister, the brothers send her to the North Country to work in the vineyards.
