"Nova: The Elegant Universe" is an overview of string theory, produced and broadcast on PBS. The video is based on the book “The Elegant Universe: Superstrings, Hidden Dimensions, and the Quest for the Ultimate Theory ”. It is hosted by Brian Greene, physicist and author of the book. String theory may be the unified field theory physicists have been searching for since Einstein. The special effects visually demonstrate superstrings, hidden dimensions and quantum mechanics. Alternate simultaneous states, complex multidimensional structures that represent all particles in the universe, and other cutting edge physics concepts are demonstrated and discussed with layman’s vocabulary and analogies.
