Explorers

“Explorers” is about three separate kids, Ben Crandall (Ethan Hawke), Wolfgang Muller (River Phoenix) and Darren Woods (Jason Presson) who are all of different walks of life who all have the same dreams about a circuit board. Together the three of them spend time designing the circuit board and discover it’s the plans for a space ship and an outer protective bubble shell. The shell is for when the ship is complete they can maintain an atmosphere within their ship. Once the ship, the Thunder Road is constructed they venture off into space only to come face to face with the aliens who aren’t exactly what they seemed to be.
