Pay It Forward

Young Trevor McKinney (Haley Joel Osment) must contend with a fractured home life, a mother who works as a stripper, and an absent alcoholic father. His homelife not withstanding, social studies teacher Eugene Simonet (Kevin Spacey) challenges Trevor's class to change the world. While many students come up with trivial and silly solutions to this challenge, Trevor finds a way to profoundly affect the lives of many people. His idea of comitting random acts of giving and then asking the individual to "pay it forward" is so revolutionary that he is likely to change the world. The circle of good deeds comes to revisit Trevor and his family, and even when tragedy strikes the good will shown changes Trevor's community forever.
