Carnival medium Olga purchases a fifteenth century candle bowl in a curio shop. She will use it during her seance, but when she lights it, she frees the trapped Wind Witch. The Witch, who names herself Clothilde, tells Olga she was persecuted and tortured to death by men afraid of her powers, which she wished to use for good. She encounteres Ghost Rider, who senses some kind of evil, but she is able to extinguish his flame with her wind powers. She lavishes favors on Olga until the old woman agrees to perform the ritual that will permit Clothilde to remain in the world forever, only then revealing that she's actually EVIL! She and the Rider battle, evenly matched, until Olga manages to rub out the pentagram that anchors her ritual. With a shriek, the Wind Witch fades away...
