Early in Superman's career, Jimmy Olsen was a newsboy working several routes at the Daily Planet. Impressed by the young man's drive, Perry asks Clark to check up on him, to make sure he's alright. Clark quickly learns that Jimmy is on the run, and has been living out of the back rooms of the Daily Planet building. But what is Jimmy Olsen running from, and can Superman save him from it?
