The final confrontation between Superman and the sorcerer Arion comes to a head in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Arion contends that by helping to save humanity time and time again that Superman is actually causing it's eventual extinction. Unwilling to believe that, and with more faith in humanity's strength, Superman fights not only to prove him wrong, but for his own survival.
