Crimson Avenger has killed Wildcat for framing an innocent man who was electrocuted. But he keeps getting back up and Power Girl keeps getting in the way. As they flee, Wildcat tells Power Girl how he got his 9 lives and how many he has left. And he admits he framed the man for something he didn't do. But the 2 of them manage to convice Avenger he as paid enough, and she apparently kills herself as she disappears in cloud of crimson smoke.Meanwhile Green Lantern confronts Jesse Chambers about what he sees as her failures, and Mr. Terrific and Dr. Mid-Nite get to know each other over the treatment of Terrific's broken leg.In the end, the Avenger awakens re-living the death of another innocent, and heads off to avenge their death. And Nemesis invades a base of her father's organization, the Council, only to find it destroyed by Black Adam, who offers her another cause to follow.
