Bane reveals that he has been lying from the start. He has actually came to destroy all knowledge of Venom and how it is manufactured, including the original drug it was based on, Miraclo. Since Rex Tyler has memorized the formula, that means he must die. When Rick escapes, Bane decides to lure him to Santa Prisca, Bane's homeland, in order to kill them both. He sets up a test, will Rick become addicted to Venom in order to gain the strength to overcome the trap they are in and save his father.
