J. Jonah Jameson has revealed to the world that Peter Parker, the amazing Spider-Man is not a mutant. In a world of genetic superiority, trying to pass as a mutant is a serious offense, leading to a series of harsh crackdowns on baseline humanity. Once rich and famous, Peter is now hated throughout New York.
But the mysterious Green Goblin who is apparently set on Spider-Man's destruction has not finished with Parker yet. Approaching the Rhino, Peter's one-time bodyguard, he plans a meeting to bring Spider-Man's life to an end.
