Catwoman, Vol. 3

Selina is concerned that she is losing the East End because she can't handle Zeiss. So she trains with Wildcat, but he believes she's faster than ever. He also believes she can't get out of her own way, and until she solves that problem she won't be able to handle Zeiss. Leslie remonstrates with her for putting a child in danger, something Leslie dislikes about Batman's approach, too - she'd hoped for better from Selina. Slam speaks to his son, who reports that a witness identified Zeiss's first victim as a man who looked exactly like Slam. Was Slam there? He won't say, and they argue. Wildcat, Selina and Holly break for some food, and on the way Wildcat spots two Beti-Ma cultists. Selina confronts them, and they bow to her before escaping! Holly is very unhappy that Selina did not share this encounter, as these cultists could perhaps threaten Selina's friends, too. Selina shares the story, and Holly leaves angry, worried for Karon. Later, Selina returns home. She finds a note from Batman saying he'll find her later; they need to talk. She also finds a drunk Slam Bradley, who accuses her of using him. He's angry because working with Selina is forcing him to lie to his son and corroding their relationship. She leaves angry, and on a rooftop sees the shadow of a cape. Here's Batman to offer his lecture, but she's had enough for one day and she tells him so. That means, says Zeiss, that his timing is right on the money...
