Annihilation: Prologue

At the Kyln, a prison for those condemned to death, invaders break through the interdimensional barrier and slice through all opposition. Word of the destruction gets out, but little is known about the attackers. They next target Xandar, home of the Nova Corps, and neatly slice through them, leaving Richard Rider as the only apparant survivor. Drax the Destroyer and Cammi escape their own confinement in an escape pod, though their fate is currently indetermined. In other regions of space, Ronan the Accuser is arrested by Kree soldiers for dereliction of duty, the Silver Surfer detects the intrusion into our universe, Kl'rt the Super Skrull (hidden on a Kree vessel) hears about an assault by the invaders in Skrull space, and Annihilus, leader of the invasion, celebrates his victory.
