This issue picks up where issue #10 left off. Captain America was bringing the ring back to S.H.I.E.L.D. when he was attacked by the M.O.D.O.C. Squad and lost it without realizing he had done so. The ring is found by Curtis Doyle, who realizes its power, but who also chooses to use it in a responsible manner.
