Plot

They are monarchs of the mist, these loftiest of all living things on earth, reaching for the sunlight above the darkened, cathedral-like forest which they dominate. They are the coast redwoods, "kings of their race," as naturalist John Muir called them--for they are living links to the age of dinosaurs, and even today are among the most remarkable trees on earth.
