Plot

SUMMARY: While on the run from an approved school Smiler (Samuel Miles) finds a home, work and friendship with a woman who used to be a fortune-teller and who now looks after sick animals. This gives Smiler a chance to do the study he needs to fulfill his ambition to be a vet. He becomes totally absorbed with a peregrine falcon, and when she escapes from captivity, he spends long hours looking for her since she has no hunting instincts.
