Plot

Dan Burkhart saved an old man's life, and that old man never forgot it. He was Cariboo Jack, a luckless, penniless old panhandler then; but ten years later, when Burkhart met him again, fate had made him into one of the richest men in Idaho. He owned a gold mine and they'd even named a boom town after him - Cariboo City. His luck certainly had changed - or had it? For when gold starts moving out of the ground the killers move in, and Dan Burkhart finds he has to save the old man again, in more than one way - and put his own life on the block in order to do so.
