Studies in neurolinguistics brings together a wealth of advanced-level research papers covering major topics in the field of neurolinguistics. The authors provide in-depth discussions, with emphasis on current theoretical positions, on such topics as agrammatism, jargon aphasia, conduction aphasia, and subcortical language mechanisms. Many of the papers set forth new research and theories on bilingual aphasia, the isolation syndrome, and psycholinguistic structures in aphasia. There are a number of papers that, for the first time, synthesize material on visual-spatial abilities, neurolinguistic models, and comprehension in aphasia. Each paper is written by a specialist in its field and includes an extensive bibliography.
