Wonderfully flavorsome Oriental cooking has gained enormous popularity in Australia; we've brought together exciting S.E. Asian cuisines in planned menus for all occasions. Even the great Australian barbecue has a spicy new twist! We decided to adapt certain specialities, spices and ingredients to suit Australian tastes and lifestyles. All recipes are pictured, many with step-by-step directions. Some do-ahead, microwave and freezing tips are included. Ingredients are explained and substitutes given where possible in the Glossary. All ingredients we suggest are readily available in specialized Asian food supply stores.
