"De LEGO Film", is het eerste grote LEGO bioscoopavontuur van Warner Bros. Pictures en Village Roadshow Pictures. In deze originele 3D computeranimatie volgen we Emmet, een doorsnee, braaf LEGO mini-figuurtje, dat door een misverstand wordt aangezien als de 'speciale' die de wereld zal redden. Emmet gaat met een bont gezelschap op missie om een eind te maken aan het schrikbewind van de boosaardige tiran, President Business. Helaas is Emmet hopeloos en hilarisch slecht voorbereid op dit avontuur.
