My quick rating - 5.4/10. The story has a bunch of "convenience" caked into it but one thing it does have. It is creepy when it needs to be. A woman comes home from war and is suffering from PTSD, but the problem is that there may be something else going on around her that isn't all in her head. The issue in this movie that keeps it from rising above mediocre is that what is going on gets revealed way too early along and after that you are kind of just wading through recycled scenes you have seen done better and FAR worse before. The acting and the story really are quite good, even if it isn't anything new. My biggest negative is the convenience I spoke of. The "hey, wouldn't it be handy if you knew how to perform an exorcism?" and the first person you ask says "YES". At least now with the new horror movies revolving around memes turned murder, they go and look the shit up in how to do things. This movie acts like it is common knowledge. But that irk to me may not bug you, and it is fine. The movie itself pushes the right buttons and is entertaining enough.
