My quick rating - 2,4/10. The elusive sasquatch. Been hiding from humans for years and barely ever even photographed. But this dude just wanders into the forest after losing his girlfriend and can find them no problem. Apparently they are hiding out in a forest right off the beaten path, kind of like the forest preserves you see everywhere. This low budget effort is pretty damn stupid. I will give them credit for attempting to weave a couple storylines together though. Not saying they are any good since the level of stupidity encompassed in the monster hunting is painfully dumb. At one point our main character John (yes, I am embarrassed sharing this name with Justin Snyder) falls asleep in a tree, the camera fades out, and he wakes up in an open field. NO EXPLANATION. Things like this happen far too often to take this thing seriously and judging by the stories they are weaving together, they are expecting you to take it that way. One being John being an alcoholic in desperate need to find his girlfriend or proof she was killed by bigfoot. The other story is a conman private investigator who is hired by the girlfriends brother to prove that John killed Sarah (Samantha Weller) They do end up intersecting in a completely non-spectacuar fashion that doesn't offer anymore entertainment value. At some point around the introduction of this private detective I began to think this one was going to actually take an unexpected turn and surprise me. I cannot say what I thought without giving spoilers to this horrid flick but I'll just say it didn't happen. The little monster commune living right off the beaten path look stupid and you seriously can buy better outfits (costume seems insulting) at any local Halloween shop. This is not recommended to anyone since not even in humor does this work. They really thought they were making a serious horror flick and by doing so, it lost any fun of being campy.
Rent it on Amazon or find it on Tubi for free (I would choose the latter)
