My quick rating - 5,8/10. A very simple yet believable nightmare falls upon a town in the form of a virus that basically eats the living objects it touches. So a book can swallow a person is not the part I call believable, it is how the community reacts to it. The panic that overcomes everyone is so well done and I wouldn't think would be too far off. Really much more of a thriller it has a good pace and decent acting, although sometimes a bit over the top but overall a frightening vision back in the late 80s that still now is pretty scary stuff. Check it out.
