Nearly a decade after occupation by an extraterrestrial force, the lives of a Chicago neighborhood on both sides of the conflict are explored. In a working-class Chicago neighborhood occupied by an alien force for nine years, increased surveillance and the restriction of civil rights have given rise to an authoritarian system -- and dissent among the populace.

My quick rating - 5,8/10. I did like the story that they focused on, but it seems so much was left to either the introduction of typing on a computer screen or for you to piece together all the things that should have been happening. Instead we are merely keen on only the interaction between the human cop (Goodman) and a local boy (Sanders) that is fighting for the resistance in this alien occupation film. What they did have was good with an intricate enough plot but I will warn you. Pay attention, not because it is overly confusing but they take a lot of storytelling visually, often with long scenes with no speaking at all. At one point, I checked the soundbar to make sure it was still on. In the world that is now under extra terrestrial control, a resistance hides underground and our story here revolves around the Chicago version. The effects of the "roaches" as they are called is pretty good and surely a step away from the norm for the ETs. Not a bad watch.
