My quick rating - 3,4/10. I had to pop open IMDB to check and see if my rating was in the ballpark or am I just so jaded to these horrendous Bruce Willis flix as of late. Well, when I saw the date of July 16th, I figured I better let you know in advance so you don't waste your time. Being a big fan of his ever since his days on "Moonlighting" I keep watching his movies hoping he'll get back into "Die Hard" form but instead we keep getting drivel such as this. I suppose the fact that he was only on set for a single day in the whopping 9 days of shooting explains a lot of the problems. The story is simple, a women (Jaime King) witnesses a drug deal turned murder between a local and the police, well a single police woman. So of course she flees and runs into Bruce and the whole movie is set. Everyone in the small town is corrupt, Bruce needs to swoop in and save the day on his retirement vacation. The acting is pretty awful especially with the cardboard cut out performance by King. With such awful acting, they cannot build up a single bit of tension at all to make you even care what is going on. The whole thing is just a really sloppy mess and it has to be gambling debt forcing Bruce into these pieces of trash since our writer and director happen to have also worked in various capacities on the last couple of his disasters. Just makes sense to hear at the poker table "I pull a full house on the river, and you have to star in my next film" Only plausible explanation I can come up with.
