My quick rating - 7.0/10. Seems anytime a Disney flick comes in, that goes along with it looking "spectacular" and this one is no exception. Lush environments along with some very nice looking CGI make everything visually stunning. But beyond the eye candy is the performances of Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt who, if there was an award, would be up for the couple of the year. Their on screen chemistry just works so well in the comedic love/hate relationship that they develop. Past them are the bit characters who provide some good humor and even a bit of digitized dread. Saying that a Disney flick is a good family watch seems cliche, but this flick truly is. It contains everything you would want to kick back with the kids and check out. They even through in a bit of a twist along the way just to add some depth to the story. Throughout I felt I was watching a quality mixture of "Mummy" with "Tomb Raider" The bad guys seamlessly transition from snakes to human form and back in such a fluid graphical motion you won't even worry about knowing it is done on a computer. The movie is paced quite well as it gives a slow start giving you time to get to know the two mains even in their action sequences and once it gets going it doesn't let up. And those action scenes are given some extra attention from the cinematographer and editor to make sure they look just right. Even in the ridiculous scenes they come up with you can't help but still be entertained regardless of how silly they may be. An all around good time for a summer blockbuster that is deserved to be checked out on the big screen.
