When a home invasion turns into a bloody shoot-out, a pair of ragtag fugitives take refuge in the house of a single mother as they wait on their fiery (and very pregnant) getaway driver to hatch an escape plan in time for a major payday.

My quick rating - 5,0/10. I think this movie would've been a whole lot better if our "Mommy" Danay Garcia would've spoken some dialogue every now and then. For some reason, regardless of the situation, she just cops the deer in the headlights look throughout the whole movie. Considering this story is about a mother who ends up the getaway driver on a robbery gone wrong, you would expect some words to be spoken. Those that were spoken by nearly everyone else in the film were actually done well which makes the lack of dialogue from the star quite odd. It surely didn't add to the tension of any scene and ended up distracting by the end. After the botch on the crime, her husband and another flee and end up shacked up in some womans home (Jean St. James). The rest of the movie is actually spun together decent even if there really wasn't much to it and at times seemed to be padded just to make a length for a feature film. Either way, you do end up very much rooting for the mother finding a way to get her stupid husband out of the situation he is stuck in. For the first shot at it, there certainly is promise from Mikhael Bassilli and I expect as the story gets more meat on the bones and the money to back the project bubbles up a bit, we will see some good stuff. Until then, with the good and bad, we end up split right down the middle.
