Notes

My quick rating - 4,5/10. Maybe 30 years ago this could pass. The monster looks extremely hokey, even for that time. Fred Olen Ray is highly regarded for these types of flicks, and for very good reason. He loves the exploitative movies and still to this day is churning them out. At first he was all about the horror and scifi schlock but as that phase passed he moved onto the "skinemax" type T&A flicks. Here we have a military-created killing machine? that crash lands back to Earth and seeks to do what it was designed to do. Part of the fun is the sheer inept way that this tragic event is handled. There is no doubt in my mind that was written that way to make fun of some specific events of the time. But leaving that agenda aside, the local police arrive to investigate the murder of a couple of teens that were first to the crash site. Again, the government would not allow this to happen either but how it is presented is sheer comic relief. Leading up the investigation is the police legend, Charles Napier as McLemore. We know he is a legend since they make sure to point that out at the precinct. After the eggs that were on board begin to hatch, the mother? goes into a rage and it is up to McLemore and his new sidekick Ann Turkel to catch up with the monster and attempt to erradicate it. Still all in good fun, just not enough to b that so bad it is good thing. Just kind of dwells in the bad area. Has some good laughs though which will at least make it viewable once for anyone interested in b-budget goodness.
