My quick rating - 4,4/10. This movie gives a decent story that is tailored to an indie flick since it won't have to overreach for effects or action. Nicholas Clarke is attempting to get out of the criminal life and gets accused of putting the fix in on a bare knuckle fight in a warehouse. Yes, these underground fight clubs that are supposedly everywhere, with the sex parties on the roofs I am sure. That bit of fiction aside, he ends up caught and locked in a closet awaiting his fate. Well, it really doesn't get much better than that setup. At times, his acting is commendable to react to his situation but other times he seems completely lost in how to convey his emotions. The rest of the cast of bad guys are cardboard cutouts of the stereotypes we are used to and acted quite poorly. So not sure what the great reviews for this one are for. The whole thing is claustrophobic and the people he brings on via his phone are one-dimensional. His attempts at escape are laughable at best. And the whole thing develops into being just good enough to make you want to see the resolution and we are given one of the worst endings they could have come up with. Really a letdown since the setup and Clarke were enough to get things going in the right direction but from there it was all down hill ending in a crash.
