Mack is a former soldier who, after the war, moved to a town with a nuclear power plant, where nearly everybody works. Life is peaceful for him there, until a gang of mercenaries led by Ron storm the reactor and take everybody hostage, including a group of children on a school trip. Now Mack is in a race against the clock and must use his military training to defeat Ron before he puts the reactor into meltdown. Along the way he discovers Ron’s motive, which unravels a greater secret Mack’s town is hiding.

My quick rating - 3,8/10. Pretty sure Bruce Willis is getting into Amityville territory in what to expect when you see him on the poster. But as I have said, I am going to keep watching. Surprisingly not as bad as the rest of them lately. Part of what turns this one a bit up is having Willis play a disgruntled bad guy who takes a dam hostage. This is a big deal since it happens to be restraining enough water to completely wipe out the entire city (town?) in its wake. This also ends up being part of the downfall of the movie in the way it is used and then belief has to be completely suspended after that. But are hero Patrick Muldoon will be there unwillingly to try and stop him. It is a simple setup for a movie and gives ample reason for some decent gun battles throughout the facility. It also provides some pretty silly "drop the guns and go man to man" which lets face it, no actual criminal is going to play that game. The screentime was slightly increased for Willis and gave him enough leeway to interject some of his one-liners that got him to his a-list status even though he has let that slide miles from his heyday. If you are like me and still suffering through these, I will say this is better than the previous few but when the bar is so low, that still isn't saying much. Proceed with that in mind.
